(a) The Utilities Director shall deny or discontinue the water service to any properties wherein any backflow prevention assembly required by this chapter is not installed, or property tested or if it is found that the backflow prevention assembly has been removed or bypassed, or if an unprotected cross-connection exists on the properties, required by this chapter is not installed and maintained in working order.
(b) The Utilities Director shall immediately discontinue water service to any properties wherein a backflow condition exists or is suspected to exist.
(c) Water service to such properties shall not be restored until the consumer has corrected or eliminated such conditions or defects in conformance with the chapter and to the satisfaction of the Utilities Director.
