§ 159.02 APPLICATION AND INTERPRETATION OF HISTORIC DISTRICT REGULATIONS.
   The Historic District classification and regulations hereunder shall be established in addition to existing zoning classification and regulations. Where there are conflicts between the procedures and regulations herein established for historic districts and other procedures and regulations, it is intended that the more stringent shall apply. It is intended that this chapter shall be interpreted in a manner which will be consistent with the provisions of Chapter 150 Building Regulations, Chapter 151 Flood Damage Prevention Code, and other sections of this code regulating building construction, maintenance and land usage. Nothing contained in this section shall be construed in any manner which would disqualify individual properties or the city or any of its various agencies or instrumentalities from participation in the National Flood Insurance Program or any federal or state urban renewal or redevelopment program or economic or community development initiative to the extent the same may now or hereinafter be in conflict with the provisions of this chapter.
