(A) Concrete monuments at least 36 inches in length and four inches in diameter or four inches square shall be set at all corners of the subdivision indicated on the plat. The top of the monument shall be flat and shall have an indented cross to properly identify the location. Except in cases where it is deemed clearly unreasonable or unfeasible by the Planning Commission, these monuments shall be described on the final plat in relation to the located section corners of the coordinate system of the Commonwealth until such time as the City Engineer may establish triangulation points within the jurisdiction of the planning unit. After the triangulation points are established, the monuments shall be described on the final plat in relation to the triangulation points and in accordance with the regulations established by the City Engineer.
(B) Iron pin monuments 3/4 inch in diameter and at least 24 inches long shall be placed at all lot corners. These pins shall be placed only after all grading and other construction has been completed. A guard stake at least 1 inch by 3 inches by 24 inches shall be placed next to each pin with the lot number and the number of the adjoining lot plainly lettered on the flat faces of the stake.
