§ 151.06 BASIS FOR ESTABLISHING THE SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD AREAS.
   The Flood Insurance Study (FIS), and/or accompanying Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), and/or Flood Hazard Boundary Maps (FHBMs) prepared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Federal Insurance Administration (FIA) for the city which is presently in effect for the current date, wherein Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHA) are identified, adopted by reference, and declared to be a part of this chapter. This FIS and attendant mapping is the minimum area of applicability of this chapter and may be supplemented by studies for other areas which allow implementation of this chapter and which are recommended to the city by the Floodplain Administrator and are enacted by the city pursuant to statutes governing land use management regulations. The Flood Insurance Study (FIS) and/or Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM), and/or Flood Hazard Boundary Maps (FHBMs), are permanent records of the city and are on file and available for review by the public during regular business hours at the Office of the Building Inspector, City Hall, 700 Main Street, Hazard, Kentucky 41702.
