(A) When any vehicle shall be parked in any parking space alongside or adjacent to which there is located under this subchapter a parking meter, the owner, operator, manager, or driver of the vehicle shall, upon parking same, immediately deposit a coin of the United States of America in the parking meter alongside of or adjacent to that parking space, and thereupon shall immediately perform any other operation as the nature of the parking meter may require. The parking space may then be used by that vehicle during the parking limit provided by this chapter for parking spaces within the parking zones hereby established.
(B) (1) The deposit of a $.25 coin of the United States of America by the owner, operator, manager, or driver of any vehicle, in the parking meter alongside of or adjacent to any parking space in the parking zones hereby established, and the performance of the necessary manual operation of the parking meter, shall entitle the owner, operator, manager, or driver to occupy that parking space with that vehicle for a period of 60 minutes.
(2) The deposit of two $.25 coins of the United States of America, and the performance after the deposit of each coin of the necessary manual operation of the parking meter, shall entitle the owner, operator, manager, or driver to occupy that parking space with that vehicle for a period of 120 minutes.
(3) However, in the event the owner, operator, manager, or driver of any vehicle does not need to or desire to occupy the parking space for 60 minutes, in order that the expense of enforcing this chapter may be shared by a number of successive users of the parking space, the deposit of a $.05 coin of the United States of America in the parking meters, and the performance of the necessary manual operation, shall entitle the owner, operator, manager, or driver to occupy the parking space with that vehicle for a period of 12 minutes.
(4) The deposit in the parking meter of two $.05 coins or one $.10 coin of the United States of America and the performance after the deposit of each coin of the necessary manual operation, shall entitle the owner, operator, manager, or driver to occupy the parking space with that vehicle for a period of 24 minutes.
