Each meter shall be so constructed and equipped with a mechanism as that it will begin and continue operation from the time of depositing of the coin and the performance of the other manual operations, if any, as the construction of the parking meter may require, until the expiration of the time fixed by the schedule in § 73.05(B) hereof as the parking limit in the parking zone hereby established. Each meter shall so operate as that upon the expiration of the parking time for that parking space it will indicate by a mechanical operation that the lawful parking period for the parking space adjacent to that parking meter, as fixed by this chapter, has expired.
