It is the purpose of the commission to act in an advisory capacity to the mayor and city council to create and maintain an atmosphere conducive to the fullest expression of understanding and respect for past and current members of the military in order to enrich the lives of all Hayden and area citizens and visitors through honoring the military veterans and recognizing the value of the service that they have and do provide.
