A. There is hereby established the Hayden parks, recreation and community forestry commission, which shall consist of no more than seven (7) members, except as otherwise provided herein. The mayor shall appoint these members with the consent of the city council. Members shall have training, education or experience in forestry, agriculture, horticulture, arboriculture, recreation, parks, boating, athletics, cycling, or similar fields and at least three (3) members shall be residents of the city of Hayden. Members may be removed for cause upon majority vote of the city council. In the event the mayor creates a youth council, a member of the youth council may also be appointed by the mayor with the concurrence of the city council to serve on the commission in addition to the other appointed commission members. The youth council member's term shall be set by the mayor, but shall not exceed one year.
B. A majority of the then appointed membership of the parks, recreation and community forestry commission shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business. (Ord. 555, 5-24-2016)
