A. All new major utility infrastructure proposed to be located in a Residential Zone or within two hundred feet (200') of a Residential Zone or in the Central Business District are permitted only after application of the following siting priorities, ordered from most-preferred (1) to least-preferred (6);
1. City-owned or operated property and facilities; except:
a. In the Central Business District; or
b. Residential Zones; or
c. In public right-of-way within the Central Business District or Residential Zones within the City of Hayden;
2. Light Industrial and Agricultural Zones (L-I, A);
3. Commercial Zones (C);
4. City rights-of-way in Residential Zones;
5. Central Business District (CBD).
6. Parcels of land in Residential Zones (R-S, R-1, R-M/F);
The applicant for major utility infrastructure located in a Residential Zone or within two hundred feet (200') of a Residential Zone or in the Central Business District shall address these preferences in an alternative site analysis prepared pursuant to subsection 8-5-4A1 of this chapter.
