2-1-11: TYPES OF HEARINGS:
   A.   Specified: Public hearing matters before the planning and zoning commission shall be either "legislative" or "quasi- judicial" in nature. Legislative hearings are the type of hearing wherein the planning and zoning commission hears public comment and formulates recommendations on legislative actions of a citywide or neighborhood wide nature. Quasi-judicial hearings involve potentially contested cases wherein the interests at stake are those concerning specific sites, including, but not limited to, applications for change of zone, subdivision of land, special (conditional) use permit and variance of zoning standards.
   B.   Hearing Procedures: The procedures for the respective types of public hearings shall be adopted by resolution of the city council pursuant to provisions of state law. (Ord. 559, 7-12-2016)
