The city clerk shall act upon the application for a permit promptly after the filing thereof accompanied by the applicant's submission of complete information. The clerk shall make a reasonable effort to notify the applicant, by facsimile, personal service, or certified mail, of any notice of denial or conditional approval and the reason(s) for denial or conditions as soon as practical upon the clerk's decision. Such decision shall be made with a promptness adequate to allow an opportunity for appeal pursuant to provisions of this chapter. (Ord. 307, 2-12-2002)
