A. Permit Fees: Fees for building permits shall be as set forth at subsection 11-1-1H of this Code. (Ord. 782-97, 3-10-1997)
B. Inspection Fees: Fees for inspections shall be as set forth at subsection 11-1-1H of this Code. Unless otherwise provided, a reinspection fee, equal in amount to the inspection fee, shall be charged for each reinspection. In addition, prior to the issuance of a building permit, the applicant shall pay such amount to the appropriate fire protection district as such district charges for inspection services related to sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems and other fire suppression systems. The current fee schedule for each fire protection district shall be on file with the Chief Operating Officer.
C. Plan Examination Fees: Fees for plan examination shall be as set forth at subsection 11-1-1H of this Code, provided, however, that plan examination fees for any type of construction not otherwise detailed at subsection 11-1-1H of this Code shall be made by the Village's plan reviewer and/or Village Engineer on a cost of review basis. Applicant shall deposit a predetermined dollar amount with the Village to cover such review costs. Upon completion of the project, any excess deposit monies shall be refunded to the applicant. In addition, at the time of filing an application for a building permit, the applicant shall pay such amount to the appropriate fire protection district as such district charges for plan review services. The current fee schedule for each fire protection district shall be on file with the Chief Operating Officer. The applicant also shall pay, prior to the issuance of any permit, the actual costs and expenses incurred by the Village or appropriate fire protection district for extraordinary reviews of plans or specifications beyond the review customarily involved in the usual course of such plan reviews. Such costs and expenses shall include actual review fees by consultants or outside contractors or time spent by Village staff. Village staff time shall be billed at the rate for each person of fifty dollars ($50.00) per hour. (Ord. 782-97, 3-10-1997; amd. Ord. 1003-02, 9-23-2002; Ord. 1290-09, 8-17-2009)
