A. Code Adopted: A certain document, a copy of which is on file in the Office of the Village Clerk, being marked and designated as the International Mechanical Code, 2000, as published by the International Code Council, Inc., be and is hereby adopted as the Mechanical Code of the Village for the control of buildings and structures as herein provided; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of the International Mechanical Code, 2000, are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof, as if fully set out in this section, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in subsection B of this section.
B. Amendments To Code: The following sections are hereby revised as follows:
Section 100.1: | Insert: Village of Hawthorn Woods. |
Section 106.5.2 and 106.5.3: | Insert: See Title 11 of the Village Code. |
Section 108.4: | Add a new Section 108.4 as follows: |
Section 108.4 Penalties: Any person convicted of a violation of any section or provision of this code shall be subject to penalty as provided in Section 1-4-1 of the Village Code, and each day any such violation shall continue shall constitute a separate offense. | |
Section 108.5: | Delete in its entirety and insert: |
Unlawful Continuance: Any person who shall continue any work in or about the structure after having been served with a stop work order, except such work as that person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, shall, upon conviction, be subject to penalty as provided in Section 1-4-1 of the Village Code, and each day any such work shall continue shall constitute a separate offense. | |
Section 603.1.2: | Add the following section: |
All return air shall be ducted. The use of stud cavities or joist spaces without ductwork is not allowed. | |
All rooms shall have returns except kitchens, bathrooms, powder rooms and utility rooms. | |
