1-4-18: ELECTION OF COUNCIL PRESIDENT:
As soon as convenient after each election of members of the council, the council shall elect a president for a term of two (2) years. In the absence of the mayor, the president is the presiding officer and may perform the duties of mayor. In the absence of the president, the council may appoint one of its number to act in his place. (Ord. 756, 5-16-1988)
