13.04.120: FIRE HYDRANTS:
   A.   Fire hydrants are provided for the sole purpose of extinguishing fires and are to be opened and used only by the water and fire departments or for such purposes as may be specifically designated by the water department and then only by a duly authorized agent of the department.
   B.   To ensure the safety and efficiency of the fire protection, any person authorized to open the same, for any purpose, will be required to use only an approved spanner wrench, and to replace the caps on the outlets when the same are not in use.
   C.   Any person, firm or individual violating the provisions of subsection A of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not more than fifty dollars ($50.00). (Ord. 43 § 12, 1935)
