8.04.190: CHARGES CONSTITUTE A LIEN:
Pursuant to the laws of New Mexico, and in particular, the article dealing with municipal liens as set forth in New Mexico Statutes Annotated 1978, section 3-36-1 et seq., as it exists or may be amended, all charges shall constitute a perpetual lien on and against the property served, and such liens shall be forthwith foreclosed in the manner provided by law, to enforce such lien as to each piece or parcel of property which shall be delinquent as set forth hereunder. The lien procedure shall be in addition to any other remedy provided in this chapter for the enforcement and collection of any charge. (Ord. 242, 1990)
