(a) No parent having legal custody or control of a minor shall knowingly permit, or by insufficient control allow, such minor to be in violation of Section 509.09.
(b) “Knowingly” includes knowledge which a parent can reasonably be expected to have concerning the whereabouts of a minor in that person’s custody or control. It shall be no defense that a parent was completely indifferent to the activities or conduct or whereabouts of such minor.
(c) Any person that violates this section shall be guilty of a minor misdemeanor.
