(A) The Clerk-Treasurer is authorized to accept credit cards in the conduct of monetary transactions.
(B) The Clerk-Treasurer is requesting that this fee be rescinded, as this fee has kept some people from using their credit card to pay for services, fines or other fees due to this fee being charged by the city, and also, to date, the fees have not been sufficient to pay the processing fees charged by the credit card company. The fees charged by the credit card company should now be handled as the cost of operating and should now be absorbed by the city.
