The Council may, at or after the said public hearing, modify the said proposed improvements or district in any respect which it deems in the best interests of the City at large, provided that in the event the amount of work is increased or the boundaries of the district enlarged, then another hearing shall be held pursuant to notice required by Section 252.08. Any hearing may be adjourned from time to time without further notice.
