(A) Each city employee who is authorized by his or her employment position to collect fees, fines, court costs or other charges on behalf of the city is hereby authorized to accept payment of any such fees, fines, court costs or other charges by credit card.
(B) This section does not authorize payment of ad valorem taxes by credit card. This section does not authorize payment by credit card of fees, fines, court costs or other charges if such payment is otherwise prohibited by law.
