(A) Signs shall conform to the construction requirements of this subchapter. All signs, except temporary signs, shall be designed, fabricated, and erected so as to meet the applicable requirements of the Standard Building Code, Article 600 of the National Electrical Code, and the requirements of this chapter.
(B) All signs that are lighted, illuminated, or otherwise wired for electricity, shall be constructed entirely of noncombustible materials, except that the sign facings may be constructed of materials that burn at a rate no faster than 2½ inches per minute when tested in accordance with ASTM D 635.
