§ 130.41 FINDINGS; PURPOSE.
   (A)   The City Council finds that the discharge of any fireworks within the city limits is potentially harmful and detrimental to the health, welfare, and safety of its inhabitants, and that the effective elimination of discharging fireworks within the city limits is essential to the furtherance of the health, welfare, and safety of the city’s inhabitants and to the conduct of the normal pursuit of life, commerce, and industrial activity. It is the intent and purpose of this subchapter to prevent the discharge of fireworks within the city limits.
   (B)   The City Council finds that the unregulated discharge of firearms within the city limits is potentially harmful and detrimental to the health, welfare, and safety of its inhabitants, and that the effective control and regulation of such discharges is essential to the furtherance of the health, welfare, and safety of the city’s inhabitants and to the conduct of the normal pursuit of life, commerce, and industrial activity. It is the intent and purpose of this subchapter to restrict and limit the discharging of firearms within the city limits.
