§ 130.21 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   CURFEW HOURS.  
      (1)   11:00 p.m. on any Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday until 6:00 a.m. on the following day; and
      (2)   12:01 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. on any Saturday or Sunday.
   DIRECT ROUTE. The shortest path of travel through a public place to reach a final destination without any detour or stop along the way.
   EMERGENCY. A sudden or unexpected occurrence of a serious and urgent situation which requires immediate action to preserve life or property, including without limitation fire, natural disaster, an automobile accident, or seeking immediate medical treatment for any person.
   INTERSTATE TRANSPORTATION. Transportation between states of the United States or between a state of the United States and a foreign country, to which any travel through the city is merely incidental.
   INTRASTATE TRANSPORTATION. Transportation between locations within the State of Texas, to which any travel through the city is merely incidental.
   MINOR. Any person under 17 years-of-age.
   PARENT. A person who is the natural or adoptive parent, a court appointed guardian, or other person 21 years-of-age or older who has been authorized by a parent, by a court order, or by law to have the care and physical control of a minor.
   PUBLIC PLACE. Any place to which the public or a substantial group of the public has access, including without limitation public rights-of-way and thoroughfares, streets, highways, and the common areas of schools, apartment houses, office buildings, transportation facilities, restaurants, and shops.
