This chapter shall be enforced by the Health Officer in accordance with the Texas Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, Tex. Health & Safety Code §§ 431.001 et seq., together with the latest edition of Texas Health Department Rules for Food Establishments and Retail Food Stores and the provisions of this chapter. The cited rules as they now exist and as they may be amended from time to time are adopted by reference and made a part of this chapter except as otherwise provided herein and will be used as the basis for required food sanitation standards.
