§ 76.04 TRUCK ROUTES.
   (A)   All motor vehicles which are 18 feet or more in length or seven feet or more in width or nine feet or more in height, or which have a gross vehicle weight of 10,000 pounds or more, may only be driven, used or operated on the following roads while within the city limits:
      (1)   U.S. Highway 190 (Central Texas Expressway) and its frontage roads.
      (2)   Business Highway 190 (Veterans Memorial Blvd.).
      (3)   Edwards Drive.
      (4)   FM 3219.
      (5)   Lookout Ridge Blvd.
      (6)   FM 3423 (Indian Trail north of Central Texas Expressway).
      (7)   FM 2410.
      (8)   FM 3481 (Stillhouse Lake Drive).
      (9)   Mountain Lion Road.
   (B)   Notwithstanding division (A), vehicles transporting hazardous materials are restricted to the routes identified in §76.06.
   (C)   Provided that the operator promptly returns to an approved truck route by the most direct route practical, it shall be an affirmative defense to prosecution for a violation of paragraph (A) of this section that, at the time of the alleged offense, the operator deviated from an approved truck route solely:
      (1)   To obtain service, repairs, or fuel in the normal course of business, and their was no other approved truck route by which such service, repairs or fuel could be obtained;
      (2)   To pickup or deliver goods, services or freight at a location which could not be reached by an approved truck route; or
      (3)   To drive on an approved route specified in a valid permit issued under § 72.23.
