It shall be unlawful for any person in control of any motor vehicle to permit the same to be stopped in the streets of the village, except adjacent to the curb of the street, faced in the direction of travel for vehicles on that side of the street, and it shall be unlawful for any person in control of any motor vehicle to permit the same to be stopped in the streets of the village a distance more than 12 inches from the adjacent curb.
