Any person who shall be in violation of any of the provisions of § 135.004 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof be subject to a fine not to exceed $500 or imprisonment for a period not to exceed 90 days or both a fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court; the court may in its discretion, consider, as an alternative to the levy of the above fine and imprisonment, disregard sentencing which may include but not necessarily be limited to, community service, parenting classes and/or any combination of like penalties.
