Before the health officer or City Manager’s designee shall approve the application for a public market or market place, he or she shall be satisfied that the building and equipment for the business conform to the following rules.
(A) Floor. Tight and solid, constructed of concrete or similar substance, easily washed and flushed.
(B) Garbage and rubbish receptacles. Of a number and type required by the health officer with covers.
(C) Equipment. Permanent roof over dressed meat, fish and poultry. Cases and counters containing meat, fish and poultry to be protected by partitions of glass, wood or metal so erected as to keep the same in a cleanly and sanitary manner to meet the approval of the food inspector of the city, the meat, fish and poultry to be kept and displayed so that it shall not be exposed to the elements.
(D) Drainage facilities. To be approved by the health officer or City Manager’s designee.
(E) Adequate toilet facilities. For men and women.
