For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definition shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
POOL ROOM or BILLIARD ROOM. Any room, place or premises in which persons are permitted to play billiards or pocket billiards, (commonly known as POOL) and for which pay, money, or its equivalent, or any check or counter, or ticket, in lieu of money, is paid or received,
