§ 82-4. Authorization of Animal Control Officer to issue licenses; compensation.

   A.   In addition to the Town Clerk/Administrator, as authorized by §§ 82-2 and 82-3 of this article, the Animal Control Officer of the Town of Hammonton shall be, and hereby is, authorized to issue dog licenses and official metal registration tags.
   B.   The Animal Control Officer shall, during the annual canvass as required by § 82-14 of this article, register all dogs subject to said canvass and may, in accordance with this Code, issue a dog license and registration tag for each such dog, provided that the appropriate fees, as required by § 82-4A, as amended, are collected by said Animal Control Officer at the time of issuance of the license and registration tag.
   C.   The Animal Control Officer shall account to the Town Clerk/Administrator for all income received from the sale of licenses, registration tags and/or late charges. The Animal Control Officer is entitled to retain from the late charges only the sum of $2.50 per late charge as and for his/her compensation.
