(A) The Board of Health, via City Animal Control, a division thereof, shall cause an investigation to be made of the premises described in the application for a kennel permit, for the purposes of determining the fitness and suitability of the premises for that business from the standpoint of public health and sanitation and of determining compliance with other applicable laws of the city or state. The kennel premises shall at all times be subject to inspection by the Department of Public Health or a division thereof at all reasonable hours.
(B) All animal kennels shall comply with the regulations of the Department of Public Health regarding ventilation, floor space, and general sanitation.
