(A) The Department of Waterworks of the city shall be under the exclusive management and control of a Board of Directors, consisting of 5 members, whose terms shall be for 4 years and until their successors are appointed and qualified. The terms of the initial directors shall be staggered as follows: The terms of 2 Directors shall expire on March 11, 1983; the term of 1 Director shall expire on March 11, 1984; the term of 1 Director shall expire on March 11, 1985; and the term of 1 Director shall expire on March 11, 1986.
(B) The Board shall have those powers conferred by I.C. 8-1.5-4-4, and such other existing ordinances and statutes which are not inconsistent therewith and which shall be construed to apply to the Board.
