(A) It shall be unlawful for any person knowingly to introduce, aid or assist in introducing smallpox or any other contagious, infectious or pestilential diseases into the city.
(B) (1) The Board of Health shall have power and it is hereby made the duty of the Board and members thereof to take the most prompt and efficient measures to prevent the introduction and spread of contagious and malignant, dangerous or infectious diseases in the city.
(2) It is hereby made the duty of the Police Chief and members of the Police Department to assist the Board of Health in the performance of its duties when requested by the Board or any members thereof.
