(A) If, after due consideration and deliberation, the Board of Public Works and Safety determines that no law shall be violated nor will a danger to persons, other living things, environment or property be created and no nuisance shall result in and permission shall not significantly deprive other persons of the use and enjoyment of the public property, then it shall issue a permit for the operation of the vehicles according to the terms and conditions of the petition and other information presented, if any, unless it shall state some other valid and legal reason for denial.
(B) If a permit is issued, then copies thereof and copies of any other written documents, such as the petition, shall be distributed to the Mayor, City Controller, President of the Common Council, City Clerk and Chief of Police.
(C) (1) No permit shall be issued for a period longer than a year from the date of issuance.
(2) For permits of shorter duration, the termination date shall be stated thereon.
(3) Petitioners desiring to renew or secure new permits shall follow the procedure provided in this chapter.
