(A) Where a public sanitary or combined sewer is not available under the provisions of §§ 51.025 through 51.033, the building sewer shall be connected to a private sewage disposal system complying with the provisions of this subchapter and Chapter 154.
(B) Within 60 days after the time a public sewer becomes available to a property served by a private sewage disposal system, as provided in §§ 51.025 through 51.033, a direct connection shall be made to the public sewer in compliance with this subchapter, and Chapter 154, and any septic tanks and similar private sewage disposal facilities shall be abandoned and filled with suitable material as approved by the sanitary district.
