§ 51.082 SURVEILLANCE OF MAJOR CONTRIBUTORS.
   (A)   Surveillance of industrial users for the purpose of verifying industry self-monitoring information will be done at such intervals as determined by the pretreatment coordinator to be necessary to determine compliance with pretreatment standards and requirements, but in any event, shall be done no less frequently than monthly.
   (B)   The POTW will sample and conduct surveillance and inspection activities of major contributors and non-major contributors when designated necessary by the pretreatment coordinator to verify independent information supplied by the industrial users, and compliance or non-compliance with applicable pretreatment standards. The user shall be given the option of splitting the obtained sample such that it may be analyzed by the user.
   (C)   In addition to surveillance monitoring conducted by the POTW, a major contributor shall conduct self- monitoring and submit monthly monitoring reports to the POTW unless specified otherwise in the user’s permit conditions or by the Pretreatment Coordinator.
