§ 30.25 ORDER OF BUSINESS; SUSPENSION OF ORDER.
   (A)   The following order of business shall be observed by the Common Council at its meeting.
      (1)   Invocation;
      (2)   Calling of the roll and noting the members present and absent;
      (3)   Reading and correcting the journal of the preceding regular or special meeting;
      (4)   Public hearing, if any;
      (5)   Reports from city officers and other communications;
      (6)   Reports from all regular committees in alphabetical order;
      (7)   Reports from special committees;
      (8)   Ordinances on third reading;
      (9)   Ordinances on second readings;
      (10)   Introduction of ordinances;
      (11)   Introduction and passage of resolutions;
      (12)   Unfinished business;
      (13)   New business; and
      (14)   Public expression.

   (B)   (1)   The order of business prescribed in division (A) above may be suspended at any time by the majority consent of the members present.
      (2)   In case the business of any 1 meeting shall not have been completed according to the list above, at the next subsequent meeting the order of business shall be resumed where it left off.
      (3)   However, at the beginning of each meeting the roll call shall be taken and the journal read unless upon motion the reading shall be dispensed with.
