(A) Any individual, partnership, corporation or other entity engaged in the alarm business in the city shall apply to the Police Department’s Records Division for a license to operate an alarm system. Applications shall be in form to be furnished by the Records Division and signed by the individual proprietor of the business, by a partner, or by the proper corporate officer, as is appropriate for the form of the business seeking a license. The application shall include the following items:
(1) The name, address, and telephone number of the alarm business and type of business entity it is (individual, partnership, or corporate);
(2) The name, address, and telephone number of the individual proprietor, partners, or directors, depending on the nature of the entity applying;
(3) A description of any services related to alarm devices offered to the public;
(4) Applicant signs the agreement to update the above information upon application for renewal of an alarm license every year as provided in this chapter.
(B) A license application shall be accompanied by a nonrefundable fee of $250 to cover the cost to the city to process the application as described herein.
(C) Any alarm business which installs or maintains an alarm system, a sprinkler system, or a fire suppression system within the city must be licensed and bonded in the state.
