§ 50.35 TESTING NEW METERS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION.
   All new meters installed by any gas company shall be examined and tested under the supervision of the Sealer of Weights and Measures previous to their installation. The inspector shall seal the meter with some suitable seal or stamp indicating that the meter has been examined and tested under the supervision of the Sealer and found to be registering accurately. The seal shall specify the date under which the inspection was made. No gas company furnishing gas in the city shall install any meter unless it has been examined, tested and sealed as herein provided, and all meters disconnected for inspection and test or for repairs shall also be examined, tested and sealed in the same manner as is required in the case of new meters before they shall again be connected or reinstalled.
