(A) A new executive department, the IT Department, is hereby established.
(B) The IT Department will be responsible for computer and software purchasing, maintenance and repair citywide, thereby consolidating and improving purchasing power, eliminating the purchase of non-compatible or outdated technology, and providing a faster response time when problems are identified.
