§ 11.01 CITY BOUNDARIES.
   All of the land lying within the following described boundaries shall be, and is hereby declared to be within the corporate boundaries of the city, and the following described boundaries shall be and constitute the corporate boundaries of the city: Commencing on the state line between the states of Indiana and Illinois, where the shore line of Lake Michigan intersects the state line; then south along the state line to a point where the state line intersects the north bank of the Little Calumet River at low water mark in Section 12, Township 36 North, Range 10 West of the Second Principal Meridian; then easterly along the meanderings of the north bank of the Little Calumet River at low water mark to the east line of Section 15 in Township 36 North, Range 9 West of the Second Principal Meridian; then north along the east line of Section 15, Section 10 and Section 3 in Township 36 North, Range 9 West of the Second Principal Meridian and Section 34 in Township 37 North, Range 9 West of the Second Principal Meridian, to the south bank of the Grand Calumet River at low water mark in Section 34; then westerly along the south bank of the Grand Calumet River at low water mark in Section 34 and Section 33, Township 37 North, Range 9 West of the Second Principal Meridian to the west line of the east half of Section 33; then south along the west line of the east half of Section 33 to the north line of Section 4, Township 36 North, Range 9 West of the Second Principal Meridian; then west along the north line of Section 4 and Section 5 Township 36 North, Range 9 West of the Second Principal Meridian to the northwest corner of Section 5; then north along the east line of Section 31, Section 30, Section 19 and Section 18, Township 37 North, Range 9 West of the Second Principal Meridian to the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 18, Township 37 North, Range 9 West of the Second Principal Meridian; then 330 feet; then north 660 feet; then east 330 feet to the east line of the northeast quarter of Section 18, Township 37 North, Range 9 West of the Second Principal Meridian; then continuing along the east lines of Section 18 and Section 7 in Township 37 North, Range 9 West of the Second Principal Meridian to a point 521 feet south of the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of Section 7, which point is the north right-of-way line of the Indiana Harbor Belt R.R., formerly known as the Hammond and Blue Island Railroad; then westerly on the north right-of-way line of the railroad to the center line of Indianapolis Boulevard; then northwesterly along the center line of Indianapolis Boulevard 551.5 feet to where the centerline intersects the north line of the southeast quarter of Section 7, and which point is located 1,289.75 feet west of the northwest corner of the southeast quarter of Section 7; then along the north line of the southeast quarter of Section 7 to the northwest corner of the southeast quarter of Section 7; then north along the east line of the west fractional one-half (or north and south center line) of Sections 7 and 6, Township 37 North, Range 9 West of the Second Principal Meridian to the point where the line intersects the shoreline of Lake Michigan; then northwesterly along the meanderings of the shoreline of Lake Michigan through Section 6, Township 37 North, Range 9 West of the Second Principal Meridian, Section l, Township 37 North, Range 10 West of the Second Principal Meridian and Section 36, Township 38 North, Range 10 West of the Second Principal Meridian to the intersection of the shoreline of Lake Michigan with the state line between the states of Indiana and Illinois to the place of beginning.
