Historic buildings shall be maintained to meet the applicable requirements established under state and local laws for buildings generally. The Historic Preservation Commission may petition the Building Commissioner to use the legal means available to him or her to cause the maintenance and/or repair of any historic landmark or structure in a local historic district in accordance with the intent to this chapter.
