(A) Any qualified Hammond resident graduating senior from any 1 of the Hammond high schools may apply for a 1-time scholarship that will be awarded annually.
(B) Applications will be made available at each participating high school and shall require the following information:
(1) Proof of residency in the city;
(2) Proof of attendance at a Hammond high school;
(3) Proof of full-time status as a student at an accredited college or university or proof of acceptance to the same for a 2- or 4-year degree program;
(4) Certification of achieving a grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (or similar achievement on different GPA scale); and
(5) Any other information which may be required by the Common Council.
(C) All 1-time scholarship checks shall be made payable to the college/university and the student.
