For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
BOARD. Unless otherwise designated shall mean the Board herein created.
BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY. The Board of Public Works and Safety of the city.
CODE. The Indiana Mechanical Code as from time to time amended.
CORPORATION. Those entities created under the authority of the laws of a state within the United States but shall not include municipal corporations nor governmental agencies.
FIRM. The same meaning as partnership.
HEATING, VENTILATING AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS. All devices for heating, cooling, humidifying, dehumidifying or ventilating all or parts of any public or private building and shall include source to appliance, wiring and all parts thereof.
PARTNERSHIP. A voluntary association between 2 or more persons on any business or venture together upon the terms of mutual participation in its profits or losses.
TRADESTYLE. A name used in trade to designate a particular business of certain individuals considered somewhat as an entity.
