§ 150.096 BASE LINES.
   In establishing a house numbering system, the margin of Lake Michigan and 106th Street in the City of Chicago, produced east where it touches the corporate limits of the city, shall constitute the base line from which all of the streets, avenues, alleys and highways running north and south shall be numbered upon the basis of 100 numbers to each standard block of approximately 660 feet, or 800 numbers to a mile. For all streets, avenues, alleys, and highways running east and west, State Line Street shall constitute the base line from which all shall be numbered upon the basis of 100 numbers to each standard block of approximately 660 feet. All buildings, houses, barns and sheds fronting on public alleys shall be numbered to correspond with the numbers on the streets.
