(A) Before any person shall move any dwelling house or other building on or along any street or alley in the city, if the moving of the building would bring it in contact with any wire or lamp of any electric light company furnishing light to the city, or with any telephone, telegraph, Fire Department or police telephone wires in the city, the person, before commencing to move the house, shall apply to the Building Commissioner and file with him or her his or her written application setting forth the height and altitude of the house and describing the streets on or along which it is intended that the house shall be moved. Thereupon, the Building Commissioner shall notify each electric light, telephone, street railway or telegraph company and the Fire and Police Departments, that may be affected by reason of the moving of the house, and grant a permit for the move to the applicant.
(B) The Building Commissioner shall thereupon issue to the person a permit permitting the removal of the building upon and along the streets described in his or her application. The applicant shall pay to the Building Commissioner a fee of $1 for the permit.
