§ 126.02 INSPECTIONS AND SEALS REQUIRED.
   (A)   Every person using weights, measures, scale beams, patent balances, steelyards or any instrument in weighing or measuring any article intended to be purchased or sold in the city or in weighing or measuring any person or animal for hire or reward shall cause the instrument to be inspected and sealed by the Lake County Sealer of Weights and Measures in accordance with the provisions of this chapter.
   (B)   No person shall refuse to exhibit any weight, measure, scale beam, patent balance, steelyard or other instrument to the Lake County Sealer of Weights and Measures for the purpose of being so inspected and examined.
   (C)   It shall be unlawful for any person in weighing or measuring any article for purchase or sale within the city to use any weight, measure, scale beam, patent balance, steelyard or other instrument, or to maintain or operate any weight, measure, scale beam, patent balance, steelyard or other instrument, whether automatic or otherwise, which has not been sealed or for which a certificate has not been obtained from the Lake County Sealer of Weights and Measures, as required by this chapter.
   (D)   All itinerant peddlers and hawkers using scales, balances, weights, or measures shall annually take the instruments to the office of the Lake County Sealer of Weights and Measures, before any use is made thereof, and have the instruments sealed and adjusted.
