§ 133.06 DESTRUCTION OF BIRDS.
   No person shall, at any time within the corporate limits of the city, kill, trap, net, ensnare, or destroy any variety of owl, eagle, or hawk or any of the song birds or migratory birds protected under the Federal Migratory Bird Act, being 16 U.S.C. §§ 703 et seq. nor shall it be lawful to rob, disturb, or destroy the nests of any such birds which may nest within the limits of the city. Only in case of grackles, cowbirds, starlings, or English sparrows, which may constitute a nuisance, will persecution be allowed and then only upon the permission and direction of the Chief of Police.
