Any person violating the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to a fine of not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100.00) and costs, and in case of default in the payment of such fine and costs, shall be subject to imprisonment until such fine and costs are paid, as provided by law.
