In accordance with Idaho Code 50-707, a number shall be assigned to each of the four (4) seats on the city council. Following adoption of this section, and at least one hundred twenty (120) days prior to the next general election, the city clerk shall assign a number to each council seat. Beginning with the next municipal election, and in all subsequent elections, any candidate seeking election to the city council shall declare for one of the assigned council seats.
